2012 AFP MA Conference on Philanthropy

Call for Presentations

The Association of Fundraising Professionals, Massachusetts Chapter is pleased to invite you to submit proposals for presenting at the 2012 Annual Conference on Philanthropy. The conference is scheduled for Monday, November 5, 2012 at The Westin Boston Waterfront Hotel. Your involvement as a professional is what makes this event one of the most highly attended non-profit conferences in the Northeast. We encourage you to share your ideas and expertise with the AFP MA community of fundraisers!  To start the submission process, please go to Speaker Information Sheet.

We are excited to introduce this year’s theme Taking Charge of Change to address fundraisers who want to embrace the changing dynamics of the industry and act as agents of change in their own organization. We will consider presentations that express collaboration, passion and mission and incorporate the themes of change.

The tracks that are presented at the AFP MA Conference on Philanthropy include:

• Annual Fund
• Major Gifts & Donor Relations
• Capital Campaigns
• Communications & Marketing
• Planned Giving
• Corporate & Foundation Relations
• Management & Advancement Services
• Special Events 

If selected, you will prepare and deliver a 75-minute presentation on a topic within your expertise. You may submit co-presenters or a panel if necessary to enhance the quality of your presentation. Applications are due May 18, 2012.  Applications are reviewed by peer volunteers. Not all applications will be chosen but all will be notified by July 30, 2012. Please note, our process is fully electronic to conserve resources. There will be a web page entitled Presenters posted later in May that will include FAQ and speaker instructions.
